These delicious bites are a great little pick me up for that afternoon lull. As well as being vegan; gluten and sugar-free, these little tasty bites are packed with protein to keep you going until your next meal. Unless you eat the lot that is!
A balance of complex carbohydrates for slow-release energy with beans packed full of protein, fresh vegetables to provide an excellent source of fibre and antioxidants and seeds and oil for source of essential good fats.
Packed with protein, iron and packed with Vitamin C, this tart goes well with a green salad and will keep for a few days, making a perfect weekday lunch or two.
Traditionally, the Ashtanga Primary Series is HARD! It's fast-paced, moving from one challenging pose to the next, with the breath, and can take anything up to 2 hours in an Ashtanga led-class. It needs full concentration, focus, determination and dedication.
Whilst I teach yoga twice a week, as a new, working-mum, I don't actually practice the physical element of yoga nearly as much as I want to. (To be fair, even when I was single and a fully-fledged career gal, I still didn't practice much). Life just gets in the way....
A perfect pick-me-up snack for the afternoon or post exercise. Gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free and nut-free.
These scrummy little pots really sort your choccy craving out a treat! Great as after dinner treat pots as they can be made in advance and chilled. Or perfect for that 3 o'clock chocolate fix that is often needed.
This citrus salad slaw is so tasty. I make a big batch of it at the start of the week and add it to salad leaves for a scrummy lunch. Would make the perfect side to any BBQ....
New to Yoga?
Fear not, Yoga is becoming incredibly popular with young and old, big and small, able and less abled and all because of the many, many benefits it has to offer. From sleeping more soundly to relieving back pain, yoga really can help in many ways. Whilst it might seem daunting joining a class where everyone seems to know the poses and Sanskrit names inside out, it's worth persevering as within just a few classes you'll feel your strength developing in your upper body and core as well as feeling much more relaxed. Over a longer period of time, your muscles in your legs and arms will start to tone too.
I've witnessed and experienced personally how practising the physical side of yoga can help to rebuild yourself from injuries, general aches and pains and pregnancy.
I thoroughly believe that yoga really is for everyone and I always welcome beginners with open arms. Everyone has to start somewhere so don't be too hard on yourself and try a few sessions, then judge for yourself whether the benefits outweigh the unknown.
